About

A scenario explorer set in a fictional near future, where you step into the role of a Head of State of an imaginary country to make decisions under pressure. It is not a simulation of real policymaking, governmental process, or how decisions are made. Nor is it a prediction of the future

How will you balance sovereignty, alliances and public trust as the world grapples with climate intervention technologies?

There is not a winning outcome: it is designed to expose players to possible trade-offs and the politcal complexity of decision-making, without producing a “correct” position or a test for players’ knowledge of the topic. Designed for desktop view, as a 90 minute facilitated group session, or a 30 minute solo play experience. You can play as many times as you want to explore different paths and outcomes.

Created after a year of research focused on developing scenarios of plausible futures about Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI). Learn more about it: https://cfg.eu/governing-climate-cooling-technologies/

To play this game in solo mode in a meaningful way, a basic understanding of the topic is recommended. For more information, consult the SAI explainer in the top-right corner of your screen by clicking the “?” icon, or read our Policymakers’ FAQ. https://cfg.eu/policymakers-faq-climate-interventions/”
